Huge Events Planned for 2009!
The Steve Bernard Foundation is delighted to announce it's first two fundraisers for 2009!
Following the considerable sucess of the Big 21 Fun Run we are delighted to announce that the Fancy Dress Fun Run & Walk 2009 will take place on February 15th. The 5km run and walk, sponsored by the Hendy Group, will take place along Bournemouth Sea Front.

The "Road to Bayeux" Cycle Ride was the brain child of Tony Bernard. We will be cycling 180 miles through Normandy to the home of the world famous Bayeux Tapestry. The event will take place in June 2009.

Two Bournemouth men had great success running Flora London Marathon for the Steve Bernard Foundation. The race brought together months of training and hard work.


In excess of 350 people gathered on Bournemouth's glorious seafront on Saturday to remember a dearly missed friend in the most appropriate fashion possible.


The Steve Bernard Foundation is delighted to announce that two of its supported athletes, Nathan Bailey and Alex Foster, recently returned from a succesfu stint at the Trampoling World Age Games in Canada.


Everyone at the Steve Bernard Foundation would like to extend their thanks and congratulations to Kay Ferguson who ran the Great South Run on Sunday 28th October

The Steve Bernard Foundation in conjunction with the Parents Association of St Mark's Junior School today opened the long awaited long jump pit and run up at the Talbot Village school.


The Steve Bernard Foundation would like to thank everybody who turned up at the casino night and also to all those who bought and sold raffle tickets. £2800 was raised through the sale of tickets, this money will greatly benefit our sponsored projects.


The SBF is delighted to announce that the second Memorial Valentines Disco raised over £1000 for local sporting causes. The night was another tremendously succesful event which brought together Stevie's nearest and dearest.


The Steve Bernard Foundation is pleased to announce it's support for Amber Austin on her travels to Mozambique this september. Amber is to travel abroad for seven months to coach and work with impoverished children.


Rob Benson, a former student at Bournemouth School and close friend of Steve, cycled down the west coast of France and on to Barcelona with two colleagues from Reading University. Although initially intended as a bit of fun, Rob has since decided he would like to raise money for the foundation.


The inaugural Steve Bernard Challenge Trophy match was a hotly contested affair between two of Steve's former teams. The match took place on the 29th July at Church Road in Chichester.


The Steve Bernard Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the Steve Bernard Memorial 6-A-Side Tournament. The tournament was organised by BS Grange YFC


Jody Craddock, once of Christchurch Football Club and currently at Wolverhampton Wanderers named the Stephen Bernard Stand at Christchurch on Tuesday.


The Christchurch FC charity fun run has been postponed until April next year in order to find more participants. The cross-country run was due to take place on the 11th June. Please get in contact if you are interested.


Christchurch Football Club and The Steve Bernard Foundation are pleased to announce that Jody Craddock will be naming the Stephen Bernard Stand on the 20th June.


Manager Adie Girdler dedicated victory to the late Steve Bernard after Chichester retained the Brighton Charity Cup last Wednesday, defeating Ringmer 2-1.


The Fitness First Stadium was the perfect host for a wondeful night, at which nearly £10,000 was raised for the Steve Bernard Foundation for distribution amongst its sponsored projects.


The casino night at Bournemouth Sports club was a fantastic success and a grand total of £2085 was raised for the foundation's sporting causes.


Luke O'Dwyer, of Chichester University surpassed all expectations and completed Sunday's marathon in a highly respectable time of 4 hours 23 minutes. Luke dedicated his run to the memory of Bex, James and Steve who all so tragically lost their lives in November.


Jody Craddock, once of Christchurch will officially name the stand in May following the conclusion of the domestic season. Further information to follow.
